Let’s bring back this lovely lost art. 🤍 This is called a Victorian Puzzle Purse, but it’s origins date back to 782 AD Japan. The ancient practice of tatogami (which predates origami) was used to create these little boxes to hold items like buttons, needles, and stamps. They were especially popular during the 1700s and 1800s for friends and lovers to write little poems and notes of affection and maybe even include a lock of hair or trinket. I had so much fun making this one. . . . #christmas #v
