Ray Mercer has a prolific career as a dancer/choreographer, even outside of his remarkable 20-year stint in the cast of Broadway’s The Lion King. Mercer has created works performed by Ailey II, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, the New Jersey Ballet, Philadanco and more. This year, he returns to Fire Island Dance Festival with a celebratory, contemporary ensemble number. #FIDance makes its annual return July 14-16 with world-class dance on its picturesque stage and the Great South Bay as the backdrop.
