San Diego's Lao Food Festival 2023

I remember our parents used to serve Lao food in aluminum trays at weddings and other cultural festivities and celebrations. It was what we knew and having an esthetic presentation of our cuisine wasn't a consideration. All that mattered was having enough food and that it tasted good. Now I not only make sure we have enough food for our guests but for them to take home too. So much have changed over the years.
