Tackling a cleaning mess can be very overwhelming, and the mess builds up quickly when you’re at a lower capacity. It only takes a few days (in my house) for the mess to pile up. Having techniques and a plan to get started and make progress is so key. If you’re caught between a mess that’s distracting and the knowledge that cleaning that mess will activate your hyper-focus mode, what do you do? I love when hyper-focusing works to my advantage, because it’s an amazing part of how my brain works. But when I know I have to deal with a distraction (and can’t get derailed by HP), I love to throw everything in a box.
