At the end of September, we took our first group on The Whisky Explorer trip to Oban for a four-day Scottish wilderness canoe adventure exploring the beautiful shores of Loch Awe. Altogether there were 4 clients, 1 photographer and 2 fuzzy faced canoe guides leading the way. Here is the story of how it all went.

One day a young lad from a farm on the banks of Loch Awe found himself trekking across the hills on an errand to the next glen. Here's a 60-second tour around Loch Awe, Scotland's largest freshwater loch! If you've ever driven to Oban then there's a good chance you've skirted a short section of the loch, most people do at least stop at Kilchurn Castle or St Conans Kirk (the glaring omission from this video but my footage has gone mysteriously missing...) Once you've left the main road after Bridge of Awe, things get a lot quieter. You'll find woodland walks, sweeping views and great coffee at Wild Rowan Cafe in Dalavich
