Don’t do what I’m doing😂 never enter the water in gator habitat!! When a gator is swimming on the surface it’s eyes are only an inch or two above the water, so when it sees a human swimming it only sees the top of your head and arms moving and the person appears to be small prey, so the gator tries to eat what it perceives to be small prey. As a professional alligator handler, I can tell you there is very little chance of survival there unless you really know what you’re doing. So far this year

Is the water cold to keep him calm?? Nope! We don’t control the water temp at all, and it wouldn’t matter much even if we did.
