Did you know... 31 July is ‘Uncommon Musical Instrument Awareness Day’. One of our favourite obscure instruments is the Stroh Violin, a string-brass hybrid - effectively a violin incorporating a metal resonator and horn, much like that of a trumpet - which was invented in 1899 by electrical engineer John Matthias Augustus Stroh.
