What better way to learn about South Africa’s mining industry than going to Gold Reef City, the embodiment of the 1886 Gold Rush? Yesterday, our Grade 5s enjoyed an educational outing to Gold Reef where they learnt about the 1886 Witwatersrand Gold Rush and how it led to the establishment of Johannesburg.
