Atlantic Tarpon (Megalops atlanticus) is a ray-finned fish which inhabits coastal waters, estuaries, lagoons, and rivers. It is also known as the #silverking. Adult tarpon are 4 to 8ft long & weigh 60 to 280 lbs. 🐟Tarpon tolerate wide ranges in salinity, from the open ocean to brackish bays and even freshwater rivers. Tarpon also have an unusual ability to survive in water with very low dissolved oxygen levels that would kill most fishes. Water temperature is the most significant limitation to
