Tango Nuevo in dance is a modern and innovative approach to Argentine tango. It was primarily developed by young dancers and choreographers in the 1980s who aimed to revitalize traditional tango. This approach incorporates more free and creative movements, blending elements of traditional tango with influences from contemporary dance. In Tango Nuevo, dancers have greater freedom to improvise and explore new movements, resulting in choreographies that are less rigid than those of classical tango.
