Another notable find from this weeks run into Western New York! Bellacartwrightia is one of my all-time favorite trilobites. A “Greenops on steroids” as they are commonly called, is a pretty apt description. Axial spines, head spine, longer lappetts (tail spines), larger genals and huge eyes round out these amazing Devonian bugs.
