Tomato and Cheese SAVORY oatmeal?! topped with fresh basil oil 🌿 🍅 🧀 . . This style recipe goes way back to my Nonna making this for my father when he was a child. In Sardinia, they didn’t even see oatmeal as a sweet breakfast item but rather a savory base. I’ve taken that concept to the next level with this dish. It’s hearty, creamy, salty (still healthy!) and SO delicious!! If you’ve never tried savory oats, I would definitely recommend giving it a go. Don’t knock it til you try it!!!!! Tom
