Although being an anesthesiologist assistant can be rewarding, it’s not always rainbows and butterflies. Hospitals can be short staffed, schedules overbooked, emergency after emergency, patients extremely sick and difficult to manage. There will be days where you jump from case to case without any downtime until the end of your shift. My advice to overcome burnout is to balance work and life outside the hospital; take your vacations, enjoy your friends and family. #anesthesiologistassistant #ane
