Constructing a warm Roof with 3 Velux windows openings We used 8x2 rafters with 6” PIR insulation cut inbetween rafters position flush to underside of rafter to give a 2” ventilation gap above. With 100mm of PIR insulation below rafters then 2x2 screwed directly into rafters to give us a good fixing for plasterboard and provide a void to run cables. #roofing #roof #build #insulation #carpentry | Peter Hannam Carpentry and Construction
