Princess Der Ling (1885–1944) was a Chinese noblewoman who served as a lady-in-waiting to Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing Dynasty. She spent her early years studying abroad in France, where she learned English and French. Der Ling later wrote about her experiences at the Qing court, offering a rare insider’s view of that time.
