Two-face! This is an unusually well preserved and inflated encrinurid trilobite from Northern Ontario. Unfortunately, some rot was present on the right side but I’ll take this as an overall win considering the brutal nature of the Thornloe formation. Trilobites enrolled when threatened, much like the modern day pill bug who evolved a similar strategy via convergent evolution. It didn’t do much good for this poor little guy on his last day alive during one of our planets’ massive hissy fits. . .
