This almost-80-year-old is smooth shooting though I do get some rise on the long bursts. The M1A1 Thompson’s stock shape, heavier weight, and rudimentary sights mean I have to get myself quite close to back of the receiver which sometimes touches my eyepro… but it isn’t bothersome as the recoil of this is very light, once again due to heavy weight.
