Trans formative Schools was founded by a team of trans and queer teachers. Our experiences during a combined 75 years in classrooms made us upset and frustrated with the ways that K–12 schools enforce racial and gender hierarchies, turning places of learning into sites of hostility and trauma for trans students and teachers.
