I see so many respected speakers give the same talk over and over again to every audience. I can’t do that. I need to know who I’m speaking to, and what message they need to hear. I really never give the same talk twice. I learned that from working with my athletes. You can’t give the same message to every individual, you have to understand which message will allow them to achieve. Think about that when you are trying to elevate your team, and those around you. And especially yourself. #winning

I love when people ask for advice, and then immediately cut you off, defending their own opinions and actions. And you realize they didn’t want advice at all, they just wanted you to agree with them. Don’t do that. If you ask for advice, listen to the response. You may hate it, you may disagree with it, you may decide it was the worst idea you’ve ever heard. But listen. The ability to listen to opposing views is about confidence. Everything else is just your ego getting in the way. #relentless #
