As you can see, Findlater Castle on the far north Aberdeenshire coast is in a pretty precarious position. Clinging onto a rocky promontory, jutting out into the Moray Firth, it's a great position for defence, but not quite so good for conservation. Piecing together this Castle's history is about as easy as piecing the crumbling walls back into place. There is at least one fantastic story to tell, right out of a soap opera, but that's tomorrows job. I promise to show you more of the castle itself
