Wild gator handling! This is how all the “nice” gators you see me working with start when they’re first caught! This is a freshly caught rescue nuisance gator and is NOT aggressive, but defensive, it doesn’t yet understand that I am not going to hurt him and am not a threat, but repeatedly handling him like this will make him realize I don’t hurt him. Some cool gator closeups with Casper! I’ve been around gators my whole life but still have moments of just “wow, this is so neat” all the time. I just love the way the scales and osteoderms look! Even the the back is covered in bone osteoderms, they can feel touch there as well.
