Here is one of my fave ways to practice mobility for the ankle joint. 🧱 I’m using a block to raise and rest my leg so there is space for the foot to move around without hitting the floor. ➡️ I begin by point the foot forward as much as possible into plantar flexion. Moving toes forward is it’s the foot and pulling the heel back towards the block. ⬅️ Then dorsi flexion. Pulling the toes and foot back towards the shin and reaching the heel away from the block. 🔂 Repeat this a few times. Holding

LOOK: it’s hard to see from this angle unfortunately but articulating the ankle joint in whats called plantar flexion (pointing the foot) is a major key to getting up to a handstand. It’s not going to directly help with balance but it will help with getting up in a slow controlled manner making the posture more predictable for your hands to negotiate balance.
