2025年2月4日 · saw the update this morning. Now it wont start, but its because it needs vulkan. Hoping this is just a bug of the update. Is there any work around for this in the mean time?

2025年2月6日 · Vulkan is better. DX12 is MS ♥♥♥♥. Vulkan is the next gen OpenGL if you have the choice than use always Vulkan. It's not that simple, almost ever. DX12 being by MS is fine, it's how it's used and implemented. On a general level (painting with a broad stroke here), Vulkan can get better performance with less legwork from the Developers.

2024年12月10日 · Not a Vulkan issue. You are just using graphics settings which require more VRAM that you have. Reduce textures size according to the recommendations. Nice of the team to respond here. Thanks for the helpful input.

2021年11月4日 · Make sure that your GPU supports Vulkan, the main fix switches the renderer, my GTX 960 supports it, so if you have a newer card, you should be fine. If you have an older card like a GTX 660, you may need to search online to see if your card supports Vulkan.

2024年12月6日 · Vulkan related problems, perhaps this helps? Clean reinstall of your GPU drivers with DDU, options, checkbox to remove Vulkan runtimes as well in safe mode. Download latest NVIDIA Studio drivers / AMD Auto select drivers.

2024年10月2日 · I have a Steam Deck running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can no longer run Vulkan even on gridmap. Whenever the game tries loading anything, it just completely freezes. It's strange, because it used to run really well before. This was the same thing that happened to me. I fixed it by totally wiping it from my PC.
