Sujit Kumar (7 February 1934 – 5 February 2010) was an Indian actor and producer. He appeared in over 150 Hindi films in the 1960s through the 1990s, and in at least 20 Bhojpuri films.

Actor and producer Sujit Kumar was born as Shamsher Bahadur Singh on June 26 1934 in Benares, British India. As a film actor, he worked in the Hindi-language film industry for more than four decades and is particularly well-known for his roles in Aradhana (1969), Ittefaq (1969) and Dharam Veer (1977).

Veteran actor-producer Sujit Kumar, who worked in films like Aradhana, The Burning Train and Aankhen, passed away this morning. He was 75 and is survived by son Jatin Kumar and daughter Henna.
