I'd like to have the MS Works on my laptop running Windows 11 (currently MS 365 has been removed) and found below information. Not sure if this is the best way to get it. The Works 9 installer, the last version of Works, can be found using your preferred search engine, and installed in all recent versions of Windows. If the documents really have been converted to Works format, the Works word processor will open them.

2018年10月17日 · To open Works documents in Word, you need the converter for the version of Works that created them. The converter listed by a couple of commentators will open recent versions of Works documents, but for the earlier versions of Works you will need the appropriate converter, which you will find linked on the downloads page of my web site.

2024年12月9日 · Welcome to the Microsoft Community. Microsoft Works 2000 is not compatible with modern Windows versions after Windows 8. So, this application will not run on your Windows 11 computer. What are your files that cannot open? If they are Microsoft Office files, you may install a modern Microsoft Office suite to view them.
