2015年12月10日 · Looking at a truck with a Cummins X15 with 400K miles at a dealership. I know every engine has its issues but it seems if I don't go with one of them I'll never get any of them. Also have an eye on a PACCAR with 650K which is priced higher (8k difference in price) but has a 13 speed manual.

2019年8月17日 · A "400 HP economy engine" like an X13? Sure. They aren't going to build a special nerfed x15 to do what an x13 does, too much production/parts cost. An X15 is an X15. A DD15 is a DD15. They build them the same and tune them with software.

2018年2月26日 · If I bought an x15 and wanted more than 6 mpg I'd get the economy version and probably 485 with the split 1550/1750 torque. That's what I'll get if I have a company driver in it. If I buy an aero truck it would be the 450 horse one. I just couldn't bring myself to put less than about 475/485 in a hood.

2019年1月12日 · x15 performance: no issues, may not like low RPMs long term, average 5.5 - 6 mpg X15 efficiency: great mileage 7 - 8 mpg, may blow up in the first 100k, has a loud vibration that no one can fix The performance sounds good for power and reliability, but that 7-8 mpg of the efficiency series looks real good for the bottom line.

2016年9月10日 · Cummins did a good job with the X15. They eliminated the IS. The whole world will thank them. I wouldn't buy a new model of anything in the first year. Even when they claim that they put 9 million test miles on it. Sure not on a single unit.

2011年10月16日 · Not sure but you may also price a long block or crate engine. May be higher but would get full factory warranty. But you’ll have to replace a lot of components. I know a DD15 crate engine with everything including clutch snd new radiator snd other accessories came out to 48k with labor engine came with a 5 year/500k warranty from Detroit dealer.

Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System - Data Valid But Above Normal Operating Range - Moderately Severe Level Seems like it is measuring EGR when it shouldnt. 2019年6月26日 · I am needing help with a swap we are doing in our shop. We had a 2014 PETE 579 come in with a seized ISX15 engine and the customer decided to swap for a X15. We completed swap and truck starts and runs good with the ECM from the original engine(ISX15). Now the problem we are having is the new engine’s ECM(X15) will not communicate with CCU.
