The iMac G3, originally released as the iMac, is a series of Macintosh personal computers that Apple Computer sold from 1998 to 2003. The iMac was Apple's first major product release under CEO Steve Jobs following his return to the financially troubled company he co-founded.

In September 2003, the iMac line was revised, with the 15- and 17-inch models receiving faster processors and graphics at the same prices, and faster USB 2.0 ports replacing the 1.1 versions. Instead of three or even four models, there were only two models: a 15" and a 17". The 17" model included several architectural enhancements, including internal Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme support, and Double Data Rate RAM.
