Mar 26, 2008 · The plan is to mount the transmission mount and bolt the i/4 inch thick triangular plates to the engine block and bolt the 1/4 inch thick flat bar to the Datsun rubber cushioned engine mounts. Then place the SBC V8 into the Datsun ZX and bolt the 700R4 transmission adapter into the Datsun tranny cross member mounting holes.

Feb 7, 2003 · JTR is working on ZX V8 mounts for the 1979-1983 cars, and they should be ready within a few weeks. The ZX V8 mounts will have slotted mounting holes to allow positioning the engine front-to-back and side-to-side. The mounts will work with car which have rack and pinion steering, or recirculating ball and roller.

Jun 26, 2007 · They are most likely talking about V8 mounts for a S30(240,260, or 280Z), however JTR also makes mounts for the 280ZX. The JTR kit allows you to move the engine further back than the MSA kit if you use an LT1/LT4 engine because you wont have a distributor hitting the firewall. Transmissin choices are pretty much unlimited.

You would have to weigh the car on public scales to get your number for that Z/ZX V8 DATSUN 240Z CURB WEIGHT'S 1970=2355. 1971=2500. 1972=2550. 1973=2575 (weighs 220 lbs more than '70). ALL 260Z=2605 (weighs 250 lbs more than '70). ALL 1982 280Z=2875 (weighs 520 lbs more than '70).

My 83 is rack and Pinion as you know and I was wondering if the model number of the headers you used correlates to the ones I am interested in which are the 1 5/8" D-ports ZX-401C?
