2020年7月8日 · Fortunately (thus far), M+H has not allowed the Purolator issues to creep into the WIX/Napa lines and let's hope it stays that way. I do like other filters, but like to have alternatives and WiX/Napa has been it. I like the NAPA GOLD that fits my 4.2 V6 (#1516). It has the base end bypass which I prefer over the dome end bypass.

Now, that's not to say that Microgards have not proven consistent quality & that WIX basic filters are perfect b/c they're not. Their also going to potentially sell a lot of WIX since that is a lot of repair service volume for them.

2005年1月6日 · I just finished a 5k mile run on the GTI using a Wix filter (from O'Reilly Auto Parts). I have no complaints at all about the Wix. I'll use Wix again. Bottom line: If these 2 brands were my only choices, I'd go with whichever brand was available at the store where I was shopping. Either filter will work just fine.

2010年4月15日 · Napa Gold (wix) 1085 Purolator L14670 I've tried the Pure One but my oil pressure seemed to be very high while using the Rotella/PureOne combo. What are the differences between the above filters? Which one is better for the price? I know the Purolator Classic doesn't have a silicone anti-drainback valve, not sure about the others though.

2014年5月14日 · Hastings have a silicone adbv as well as the Nnapa gold , platinum and Wix. I haven't seen a Hastings or Baldwin with a silicone ADBV yet. Most Wix filters do use them, but certainly not all. In reality, I consider the Wix and Hastings/Baldwin filters essentially interchangeable. I can get both locally rather easily.
