The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) is pleased to announce that the core functionality of the Whole Building Design Guide has been restored and is now available for public use. As many users are aware, NIBS took down the WBDG portal abruptly in early October 2024 for mandatory security and maintenance upgrades.

The WBDG Federal Facility Criteria section is an extensive electronic library of construction guide specifications, manuals, standards and many other essential criteria documents.

The Whole Building Design Guide - WBDG (www.wbdg.org) is one of the largest web-based portals providing government and industry practitioners with one-stop access to up-to-date information on a wide range of building-related guidance, criteria and technology from a 'whole buildings' perspective.
