I ran some rough numbers for your 15.5' clear span W14x22 steel beams. I use a Live Load of 40 psf and a Dead Load of 10 psf and a tributary width of 10'. Your steel be beam will work, as long as you provide adequate lateral bracing at a maximum of 5' o.c. across the span.

Hi Mr. Walker. I went to look at the 16x31 beams. After adding the 2 inch nailer and the 4x6' timber (totaling a 24"" rise from the ground level) it appeared to be ,at least visually, too much of a rise.
