Its 3.0 litre five-cylinder diesel engine with indirect injection produced 80 to 88 hp (59 to 65 kW), depending on year/country, from an extra 600 cm³ more of displacement than the four-cylinder Mercedes-Benz 240D diesel.

2021年6月11日 · I have two coupes, both owned nearly 30 years now; W123 85 300CD turbo and W124 89 300CE with M103 petrol engine and K-Jet-CIS. The 300CE now has over 350,000km running strong with nothing requiring head removal. The m103 has proven to be a good motor with single cam and hydralic lifters that don't require adjustment.

If you look deep enough inside a W123 you find the 1950s. It was the most refined and well constructed end of long line of evolutionary sedans and coupes. The W124 is the opposite.

2008年4月20日 · W123 replacing rear axles My son’s 1985 300D’s rear axle was making noise. The outer boots, inner clamp, was loose and I’m sure some or all of the oil was gone. He started to get a clicking noise upon de-acceleration so I knew it was time for a new axle. I called and got New axles from Advanced Auto. SKU # 20870644.
