VTEC engine with non VTEC ECU? - Team Integra Forums
Nov 11, 2009 · No, that's not going to solve anything. The fuel and ignition maps (yes, multiple maps, high and low) have very specific values, which if aren't correct, can leave you sitting in a big pile of "you know what". I'm pretty sure that VTEC wouldn't even attempt to function without a VTEC enabled ECU anyhow. A piggyback is not the way to go.
My Non-vtec Integra Theory - Team Integra Forums
Oct 24, 2012 · But I can tell you.. The ECU will engage VTEC at that set RPM, regardless of the density of the air. That is irrelevant. VTEC takes: Oil Pressure, Throttle Position, and RPM into consideration, nothing else. A stock, GSR ECU will engage VTEC at 4,400 RPMs.

Nov 2, 2008 · B20 non-vtec FAQ Guide I created this guide for a couple reasons, but mainly for the reason that there is ALOT of misinformation on B20's. This thread should end all of that misinformation and confusion. How to identify your B20 Motor: Let's first start off by saying that ALL USDM motors will have a number after the last letter in it's engine code.
VTEC engagement: smooth vs. abrupt | Team Integra Forums
May 5, 2005 · 1. Find the Best VTEC Switchover Point First (if you have VTEC): Set the VTEC controller such that the VTEC switch is at 7000 rpm. The dyno pull will be done almost entirely on the non-VTEC lobes. Locate the highest rpm at which the hp dies on the non-VTEC lobe. Go 200 rpm before this point and that is YOUR best VTEC switchover point.
VTEC Crossover Tuning - Team Integra Forums
Jun 3, 2003 · basically if you are still on the stock fuel map, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to waste dyno time doing 2-3 extra runs on just the VTEC lobe. I used to do it that way (i.e. do a set of runs on just the nonVTEC lobes and then do a set of runs on just the VTEC lobes ) and found that the final torque curve with the new fuel map was better ...

LS/Vtec Conversion Kit??? - Team Integra Forums
Jan 20, 2004 · plug the VTEC oil passage in the VTEC head (usually welding the plug in is better than just using a bolt plug) and then machine the plug down flush with the cylinder head's deck surface. Secondly, since the LS block dowel pins and the VTEC head's dowel pin holes are not aligned, the machine shop must redo the dowel pin holes by slotting them to ...
VTEC and boost - Team Integra Forums
Jan 8, 2003 · The higher compression ratio's of vtec engines don't commonly react well to high levels of boost. Beyond that vtec is a great way to take better advantage of a turbo. Unfortunately not to many companies make cam shafts which work better with FI. The amount of overlap designed into NA aftermarket vtec cams don't work well with turbos.
