The College is home to more than three-quarters of UCLA’s undergraduates and four academic divisions: Humanities, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences. A fifth division, Undergraduate Education, serves as the campus driver of excellence and innovation in the undergraduate experience.

The five deans of the UCLA College lead their respective divisions and share responsibility for issues and functions across the entire College. Shared governance is implemented through the Faculty Executive Committee. External relations and College Communications are housed in the Office of College Development.

Miguel García-Garibay was appointed dean of physical sciences in May 2016, after four years as chair of the department of chemistry and biochemistry, and became Senior Dean of the UCLA College in November 2022. He has been a faculty member in the department since 1992.
