Jan 25, 2016 · ToBR representative here: there are 2 parts of the process: 1st the owner of the account places an authorization note (either online on MyAT&T or over the phone) that says "(Original account holder) authorizes (Receiving account holder) To assume financial responsibility for the line (number).

Which is in essence, transferring the account’s authorization to another individual(new account) or an existing AT&T account. This will in effect, transfer desire lines, plan rates, equipment installments and any current balance owed to the new account.

Jun 18, 2020 · There is no way to finalize the tobr! So I called again, a different number, and I am informed that the tobr department is closed due to COVID-19. There internet presence is obviously malfunctioning, but also the department doesn't exist. I spend about 30 minutes on hold or waiting for the customer service rep to try to find a solution.

Aug 6, 2021 · I did a TOBR off my dad’s account onto my own years ago by myself at a corporate store. I was an authorized user on the account. I also had the physical phone. This was back 2 year contracts were only way to finance a phone.

Nov 24, 2020 · This is false. I work at a cor store and I’m 100% positive they are open. They may have closed for a bit in March and April but have been open ever since. I’m unsure of their hours and am sure it’s reduced but you can definitely get ahold of someone over the phone for a tobr.
