2021年1月23日 · I've read about several mechanisms using $\ce{PhSe-SePh}$ as a precatalyst, but in this reaction, there is no other information, apart from the reagent $\ce{SeCl4}$. If I assume that there is a dichlorination with $\ce{SeCl4}$ , I think, the syn -specific dichlorination happens on "top" as the methylene group is sterically less demanding.
