Apr 29, 2023 · Been using the AXS GX derailer for 2 years now, with a Shimano XT cassette and Hyper Glide (HG) chain. The “B” screw setting is important. I changed the lower jockey wheel to Sram but it may not be necessary.

Jun 12, 2023 · Sadly, I have some experience here. I have two bikes, both with SRAM Eagle AXS X01 RD. After about 3 years, the mtn bike with this system had a failed derailleur. It would fail intermittently, more and more frequently This was NOT a battery problem. It would just stop working, like described above.

Apr 28, 2023 · I think it is a known problem as SRAM diagnosed mine immediately when I described the fault. Because of no stock I bit the bullet and put the GX AXS T type on my e160RSX and used the AXS normal on my other bike. The T type is superb and no adjustment screws!....but the same battery terminals.

Jul 26, 2024 · AXS Firmware reset. sign out of app (settings>logout) Select "Off the grid / blue tooth access" remove battery; hold down axs button and install battery; let go of axs button; AXS derailleur will appear with red exclamation point; select it, and install firmware; Note this did not fix my issue. I had my derailleur replaced under warranty.

Feb 14, 2023 · My axs was out of warranty as originally had it on my Santa Cruz before moving onto my e bike. So long and short. Tried everything , new batteries , cleaning contacts , getting rid of all dirt in battery area corners. Issue ended up to be what sram refer to as the POGO pin which is that springy little contact on the axs.

Aug 6, 2023 · I switched from AXS to the new X0 T-Type drivetrain (cassette, derailleur, chain and crank chainring (SRAM direct mount T type for Shimano crank) on my SC Bullit. The shifts are more accurate, much better under load (especially climbing), quieter drivetrain as well.
