We visited this on the recommendation of the Rouen tourism office. "The only one of its kind in France". We didn't know what to expect and were surprised when we entered. It is a very large, panoramic of ancient Rome that can be viewed at multiple levels. That's it.

In a large, circular column on the waterfront, Panorama XXL is a massive 360-degree exhibition offering in-depth exploring of one astonishing landscape, created with photographs, drawings, digital images and recorded audio.

The tour continues in the rotunda, where you can view the majestic Rouen Cathedral as painted by Claude Monet, the father of Impressionism. Relive his two painting campaigns and admire the facade of the building which inspired over 30 artworks.

Located right on the Seine, Panorama XXL consists of an enormous, cylindrical panoramic screen 105 feet (32 meters) high. Inside, the screen is covered with enormous, striking imagery, including paintings, photographs, and drawings produced by German artist Yadegar Asisi.

2015年1月13日 · The Panorama XXL is Rouen’s spectacular new cultural venue. Opened on 20th December 2014, it exhibits the world’s largest panoramic works (31 metres high – equivalent to a 12-storey building), created by German artist, Yadegar Asisi.
