Jul 15, 2022 · The real answer is because TF2 is a team objective shooter using two different colors, the artists were forced to find a setting that made sense for each color. That's why the colder blue goes with industry, and red goes with more natural material. Also, it helps distinguish what part of the map you are in even if you are colorblind.

Jun 20, 2024 · I like to imagine the RED and BLU soldiers are AGGRESSIVELY political, but the RED one is right-wing and the BLU one is Left-wing. BLU soldier is just as insane and patriotic, but he takes personal rights and liberties very seriously and WILL start a riot if someone infringes on someone’s God-given American Freedoms.

Since we already have BLU (Builders League United) and RED (Reliable Excavation Demolition) in normal TF2. TF2c brought 2 more teams into the mix. Those being GRN (Global Radio Network) and YLW (Yard Logistics Workers). However, some colors don't have acronyms such as ORG, BLK, and PRL. (Yes. I visited the tf2 freakshow wiki for this)

Jun 17, 2019 · If you recall in Meet the Medic, RED Demoman and Scout are attacked by a massive wave of BLU Soldiers. So it is canon that multiple of at least Soldier exist. It is also canon that there exist(ed) a RED and BLU Spy as seen in Meet the Spy, although the BLU spy was killed and it is unclear as to if any other BLU Spies exist.

Nov 25, 2022 · Hell late in the “main storyline” comics we even hear that the Mercs aren’t divided between RED and BLU but instead are different specific teams, with the one we know being Team Fortress (and the Classic Heavy namedropping others such as Team Citadel whom the Classic Mercs had successfully killed)

Aug 27, 2016 · In the comic canon, the 9 characters only have one version each (in RED). BLU are different people who aren't the characters, and I'm pretty sure that the teams are larger than just 9 people, so there are also more RED mercenaries than just those shown. In game there are multiple versions of the characters because the game is better that way.
