Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer, non-profit dog rescue organization operating in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. RAGOM primarily rescues Golden Retrievers and through foster care provides a home until adoption.

Foster care provides a temporary home that helps RAGOM determine a dog’s needs in a forever home. A foster home also provides the adoptive family with helpful information about the dog to ease transition and ensure a successful adoption.

Jul 21, 2021 · Max made his way to RAGOM after eating clothing and needed surgery to clear an intestinal blockage. Although he likes other dogs in a neutral territory, he isn’t comfortable with other pets in his home, including cats, so he must be an only pet.

RAGOM thrives on the generosity and boundless energy of our volunteers! We need all types of volunteers to fulfill our mission. Except for Foster homes, volunteer positions are not restricted by territory.
