2013年8月25日 · I appologize in advance for this neophyte question but I want to make sure I do not break some thing in the process of this minor project. I purchased a vintage badge which mounts on the rear deck lid grille. I have the two screws nand bracket to mount it but have a question regarding accessing the underside of the grille on my 1988 911.

I got a 70's anniversary Porsche grill badge and when looking at the fasteners provided they look like very easy to steal and / or to probably loosen up with vibrations. See below for pics of the badge and fasteners:

As far as getting the new gasket under the badge, I got the gasket to sit outside of two of the three corners of the badge while holding it against the hood, then got the two speed nuts started with a deep well 8 on an extension.

2004年12月27日 · It is just that I have never seen one of these rare 74-77 plain ol 911s. The earlier cars always had the T E or S after it and the laters had the SC. I just thought that the 911 badge without an additional letter adorning it made it look too plain. And yes my S is slow but I am working on that. Keep you guys posted. _____
