Lead selenide | PbSe | CID 61550 - PubChem
Mar 3, 2009 · Lead selenide is a chemical compound of lead and selenium that can be found as the naturally occuring mineral clausthalite. It is a semiconductor and is used for manufacture of infrared detectors for thermal imaging.
Grid-plainification enables medium-temperature PbSe ... - Science
Mar 14, 2024 · We demonstrate how removing lattice vacancies through a grid-design strategy switched PbSe from being useful as a medium-temperature power generator to a thermoelectric cooler.
Dense dislocations enable high-performance PbSe thermoelectric …
Oct 28, 2022 · PbSe-based thermoelectric materials exhibit promising ZT values at medium temperature, but its near-room-temperature thermoelectric properties are overlooked, thus restricting its average ZT...
In this paper, we report a systematic study of electronic structures and lattice dynamics of the lead chalcogenides PbX X=Te, Se, and S using first-principles density-functional-theory calculations and a direct force-constant method.
Strategies to advance thermoelectric performance of PbSe and …
May 31, 2024 · PbSe and PbS primarily enhance carrier mobility through band alignment and band sharpening. Additionally, their conduction band structures are considerably simpler than the valence bands.
Welcome to Infrared Materials PbS and PbSe Detectors
Lead Sulfide (PbS) and Lead Selenide (PbSe) detectors are both members of the lead-salt family of photoconductive infrared detectors, sensitive in the 1 – 5.5 micrometer range of the electromagnetic spectrum.
PbSe‐Induced Sb2S3 Crystallization and Interface Band …
Jan 23, 2025 · The insertion of an ultrathin PbSe layer induces oriented crystallization of Sb2S3, bi-directionally passivates interfacial defects, and optimizes the energy band alignment at the CdS/Sb2S3 interface...
Structural, morphological, electrical and optical properties of PbSe …
Aug 1, 2018 · Optical band gap control of lead selenide (PbSe) thin films is essential for realizing the practical applications. In this paper, PbSe thin films have been deposited by radio frequency (RF) magnetron-sputtering with varied sputtering gas pressures from 0.5 to 4.0 Pa. A systematical investigation of the film properties was carried on.
High thermoelectric performance of PbSe via a synergistic band ...
Apr 15, 2024 · Here we show that a synergistical manipulation on both band structure and dislocation of PbSe can be realized by the cointroduction of Gd dopant and Cu interstitial. Gd doping increases the effective mass for large Seebeck coefficient via flattening the conduction band edge of PbSe.
