The cons is in order for you to use your existing router with the ONR, IT must set as AP to act a bridge between your devices and your ONR.You can't use any features when it is an AP.

2023年2月3日 · I have an ASUS AX6000 and four XT8 routers. I don't want to use Access Point (AP) mode. Singtel said they could not enable bridging mode for me. Luckily, I found that if I use the fourth port of the ONR, I can use router mode for my AX6000. My connections: ONR -> AX6000 -> 2G switch -> 3 cables, each connected to an XT8 router.

2020年9月10日 · If you were using a bridged Huawei ONR before (sanctioned by Singtel, not done by yourself), try to negotiate with Singtel to bridge the Nokia ONR as you are still in the existing contract. Even though official Singtel policy is not to entertain (new) ONR bridge request, it is still case by case for existing bridged ONR users.

2021年12月23日 · The ONR will be configured as three port unbridged ONR ports and one port bridged ONR port, the bridged port does not require VLAN. Certain users have asked Singtel to provide a special configuration for the ONR with the 1Gbps plan, three ports for SingTel TV only without internet access, one bridged ONR port which does not require VLAN.

2018年2月1日 · The answer, it depends. What you have in a ONR setup is the absence of a secondary physical layer in between your network devices and the ONT/gateway. When you realise that by design, the ONR must be open and remote configurable (meaning, someone on the internet - supposedly your ISP - has configuration level access to your device).
