Odin 2 has a lot of more performance than the rp4 pro based on SOC performance, in some benchmarks even doubles the performance. After doing some math, the basic odin 2 have even a better price/performance relation (by just a little bit) than the rp4 pro.

Aug 29, 2023 · As per the videos published by Odin, it will easily be able to push all PS2 games at 2-3x resolution. Is there any chance it’ll be able to play some PS3/Xbox titles, if the emulator developers are able to keep up? Is the hardware strong enough?

The Odin 2 is far more powerful than the Retroid Pro 4. As far as emulation tasks go, when you get to the more modern systems then everything the RP4Pro can do, the Odin 2 can do better - more upscaling/higher resolution, better frame rates, etc. Better battery life, too. The Odin 2 has a bigger, higher resolution screen than the RP4Pro.

I ordered the Odin 2 Pro 12gb myself but mostly I will be playing PS2/GC games and, I "can" play around Yuzu, but I wont fully rely on it. My take: PC, steam: deck or ally Switch: just use switch PS2/GC/everything older: Odin 1/ Odin 2 We probably 'can' play switch on Odin 2 but it wont be as good as switch because of software limitation.

Aug 13, 2022 · And that's not an issue with Odin's power, it's an issue with PS2 emulation on the Android really only breaking ground in playability in the last 8 months. Once AetherX2 has had more time to mature and evolve it'll be running everything you throw at it full speed.

Don't buy an Odin 2 Pro or Max model in hopes of "future proofing" newer/upcoming emulation. (Which would be PS3/X360 emulation). There's no guarantee that there will be one for Android or if the current hardware specs could support it. PS3 emulation on PC right now is still not full proof.
