Little Ghost Nebula - Wikipedia
Little Ghost Nebula, also known as NGC 6369, is a planetary nebula in the constellation Ophiuchus. [2] . It was discovered by William Herschel in 1784. [3][4][5] Round and planet-shaped, the nebula is also relatively faint. The high energy radiation from the central white dwarf causes the surrounding nebula to emit light. [6] .

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope took this image of the planetary nebula NGC 6369, at a distance estimated to be between about 2000 and 5000 light-years from Earth. When a star with a mass similar to that of our own Sun nears the end of its …
Little Ghost Nebula (NGC 6369) - Deep⋆Sky Corner
NGC 6369 is a double-shell planetary nebula. A bright annular inner shell with faint bipolar extensions is surrounded by a filamentary envelope. The inner shell can be described as a barrel-like structure shape with polar bubble-like protrusions.

NGC 6369 - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
NGC 6369's faintness is no surprise, as the planetary nebula, in far southeastern Ophiuchus (two degrees northeast of Theta Oph) is only 7 degrees west of the center of the Galaxy (and of the Summer Solstice in Sagittarius), and is thus very much dimmed by intervening interstellar dust.
WFPC2 V and I image of NGC 6369 | ESA/Hubble
The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has caught a glimpse of a cosmic ghost, the glowing remains of a dying star called NGC 6369. The glowing apparition is known to amateur astronomers as the 'Little Ghost Nebula', because it appears as a small, ghostly cloud surrounding the faint, dying central star.
NGC 6369 (Little Ghost Nebula) - Planetary Nebula in Ophiuchus
NGC 6369 is a Planetary Nebula in the Ophiuchus constellation. NGC 6369 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.

It is a white dwarf of pulsating type (known as V2310 Ophiuchi), that emits strong ultraviolet radiation which ionizes the gas pushed by itself in the last phase of its life cycle. If observed in radio waves, NGC 6369 appears to be the third brightest planetary nebula in the sky.
