What to expect | National Benchmark Test Project - NBT
The National Benchmark Tests (NBT) measure your academic readiness for University. Some South African universities use the NBTs in addition to the National Senior Certificate (NSC) for access to higher education, while others use the tests to determine the kind of learning support a student will need during their studies.

Applicants | National Benchmark Test Project - NBT
You must be at the check-in desk by 7:30 AM on your scheduled test date. Sunday sessions are offered at major test sites to accommodate learners who cannot write on Saturday. You are not allowed to write the AQL test on one day and the MAT test on another.
How to book a test | National Benchmark Test Project - NBT
The NBT Project does not determine which test you must write nor the deadline for submitting results. Most higher education institutions in South Africa post their requirements on their website and in their prospectus.

Access your results | National Benchmark Test Project - NBT
Unless an emergency prevented you from writing that test, you will have to pay for it in order to view your results. RESULTS SENT TO UNIVERSITIES: Your results are made available to any institution to which you have applied approximately three weeks after you have written your tests.
