McArthur Court is a basketball arena located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene and the former home of the Oregon Ducks men's and women's basketball teams, replaced in 2011 by Matthew Knight Arena.

It includes three regulation size volleyball courts and is used mainly for PE classes and Intramural Sports. Scoreboards, tables, chairs, and floor covers are available to rent through the Rec or other campus operations services.

Mac Court is a nostalgic piece of history for Eugene. It was built in 1926 on the University of Oregon Campus, McArthur Court (Mac Court or The Pit) was the home of the Oregon Ducks men’s and women’s basketball teams until 2011 when it was replaced by Matthew Knight Arena.

McArthur Court was the central performing arts and athletics venue for not only the campus community, but for the entire city of Eugene and Lane County. This is refl ected in the many nicknames that the building has acquired over the years, including “The White Elephant“, “The Igloo”, “Mac Court” and “The Pit”.

McArthur Court was the basketball arena on the University of Oregon campus. Also known as the Igloo, The Pit and Mac Court. Architect: Lawrence & Holford. Construction began in June 1926 and ended in December of that year. ASUO funded McArthur Court, named for Clifton N. ‘Pat” McArthur, the first president of the ASUO (1899-1900).

It's been eight years since the final men's basketball game at McArthur Court on January 1st, 2011. The now 92-year-old building sits vacant on University Street covered in ivy vines as it did eight year's ago.
