Oghenemaro Miles Itoje (born 28 October 1994) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a lock for Premiership Rugby club Saracens and captains the England national team. [1] [2] Itoje signed his first professional contract with Saracens in 2012, making his debut the following year.

A Saracens academy product, Maro Itoje was a new member of the England squad for the 2016 Six Nations and has since gone on to establish himself as a regular starter. In 2014, Maro captained England U20 to victory at the Junior World Championship final.

Since then he has won three Six Nations titles – one of which was a Grand Slam – and finished second and third at Rugby World Cups. In his youth career for England Itoje was captain of the U20 team that beat South Africa to win the 2014 Junior World Championship final.
