Magik #1 (December 1983) is her first cover appearance as young Illyana, her second full appearance and the first time she get the name Magik. Magik #2 (Jan. 1984) is her first cover appearance as adult Magik.

Illyana Rasputina is a mutant sorceress linked to the demonic realm of Limbo, known in Earth's super hero community as Magik. As the younger sister of Colossus, she was tragically abducted to Limbo by the malignant Belasco when she was under the X-Men's custody.
