Oct 15, 1999 · The L88`s were equipped with closed chamber aluminum heads. 12.5-1 with full floating pins. The LS6 454`s were open chamber iron smog heads. ' clean burn supposedly' and 11-1 with pressed fit pins and weighed in at over 70+ pounds more than a L88.

Jun 7, 2007 · The L88 was more of a racing engine then the LS6. Did you mean to compare the L72 (427) to the LS6? The L72 is a great engine used in the 1966 Corvette and Passenger (full size) and the 68-69 Passenger (full size) and in 427 COPO cars including Yenkos.

GM was on strike in this time period, Tough to order a specific car. Vin number is 194379S731XXX. I know a Earlier 1969 Motion 427 L72 Tri Power Vette 4 speed out of Jersey that has Vin number 194379S717XXX.

Hope this helps. Do you need these specific peices for a Correct 1968 L88 or something like it for a Camaro or Chevelle ?
